Snowboarder Elena Hight, known for her tight and controlled spin style, continues to impress in the Super Pipe event and is competing at this week’s 2011 Dew Tour kickoff in Breckenridge, Colorado. This two-time Olympian’s most notable feat so far was winning her first bronze medal in the 2007 Winter X Games after landing the first ever backside 900 in women’s snowboarding Half Pipe contest history. But, at just 21 years old, Elena Hight looks forward more exciting years of competition ahead, with her sights on the 2014 Olympic Games.
This week, Elena took time away from her U.S. Snowboard Team friends and teammates to chat with Women’s Adventure about riding, traveling, and competing.
Elena Hight will sign autographs at the Toyota Tent in festival village on Peak 8 this Friday between 12 and 1 p.m. And for a little personal incentive: Dew Tour fans who visit the Toyota Tent can enter to win a season pass to Breckenridge.
