You don’t have splurge on overpriced movie tickets to catch the premiere of these summer films. Allie Bombach and Sarah Menzies, the ladies who brought you “23 Feet” last summer, will launch their new series “MoveShake” tonight, June 7. It’ll screen online at moveshake.org at 7 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time. Here, Women’s Adventure brings you the trailer.
Produced by Red Reel, a video production company that sponsors outdoor film projects, “MoveShake” features inspiring people who go against the grain by dedicating their lives to important campaigns for environmental protection and social justice.
The “MoveShake” premiere will feature two films in the series: The first follows Shannon Galpin—a rape victim and the founder of Mountain2Mountain—as she works to improve the lives of women and children in conflict zones. The second film, which premiered at the MountainFilm Festival in Telluride, Colorado, profiles sea-turtle poacher-turned-protector Julio Solis as he campaigns to preserve the natural resources of Mexico’s Magdalena Bay.
The film series’ website defines a mover and shaker as “an individual who is following their passion to create positive change in the world.” Join the “MoveShake” movement by following them on Facebook and don’t forget to tune in tonight!
