Breakables? No problem. Bringing home smelly shirts? Don’t worry. Women’s Adventure testers packed a week’s worth of ski gear (sans laundering), a family-heirloom 11″ x 14″ picture frame, and four bottles of wine into this durable full-sized carryon.
Two weights of durable nylon form a duffle-like shell over the stiff vertical base on this roller. It’s easy to heave into a truck and—unless you pack a top-heavy load—it stands up on it’s own in classier surrounds. Internal pockets also help keep things separate and tidy, one tester even shared the bag for a weekend excursion that involved heavy winter clothes and an evening gown.
Though testers loved the bag’s look, the compression straps didn’t adjust enough to avoid a “deflated” look when the bag wasn’t packed full and a small strip of open-weave mesh let smelly messes out, but might let weather in.
