Sometimes, you fall for someone strictly on appearance, with nary a thought of their real characteristics or your compatibility. That’s what happened to me when my eyes landed on Twin Six’s Bird jersey – the graphic design just shouted out “Love Me!” Luckily, this jersey has a sterling character to go along with its good looks.
Twin Six is a small Minnesota company run by two graphic designers with an eye to “be the alternative to everything else” in jersey design, which has languished too long in the land of bad taste.
The Bird has a flattering semi-fitted cut, good length, and no waistband elastic so it lays flat. It features the standard three elastic topped rear pockets and a nice long zipper. It’s got great wicking action and doesn’t seem to be too prone to snagging. We didn’t notice any fading or shrinking after washing, either.
