Pedro’s GO! Chain Lube

Posted by: Susan

We tested Pedro’s new GO! super light weight chain lube on three brand new bikes the other day. I got a blast from the past when I opened the bottle — wow, it smelled a lot like painting class back in college, when we would mix linseed oil with our paints. And, it turns out that GO! is based on canola oil, so I wasn’t too far off the olfactory target.

GO! is made for dry, clean conditions and it’s lightweight enough that it goes on easy and comes off easy with Pedro’s Oranj Peelz degreaser. When your oil is less viscose, it doesn’t attract as much road crud, so keeping the chain clean is a little easier. GO! is waterproof but it’s not meant for heavy duty work through rain, mud, etc. We’re using it on our princess road bikes who only go out on fine, dry days!

Pedro’s has a whole line of environment-loving, plant-based products now, and it feels good to be using biodegradable stuff when we can. Bravo, Pedro’s!
