We are looking for interns to join our exciting Boulder team---
Sales/Marketing Intern
We are in need of a Sales/Marketing intern. This person needs to be energetic, positive, creative, and organized. General computer knowledge is required (Excel, Word, Photoshop, etc.) and knowledge of design systems such as Quark or InDesign preferred. 15-30 hours per week. Compensation: College credit and invaluable publishing experience and contacts.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting internet and market research
- Design and production of promotional materials
- Execution of mailing and follow up
- Scheduling and promotion of author events
- Updating and managing title databases (Amazon, B&N, BGI, Ingram, B&T, etc)
- Creation and distribution of press releases
- Development/Maintenance of customer/media lists
- Title submission for award consideration
Editorial Internship
We are in need of an editorial intern. This person needs to be able to work independently as well as part of a team. This person needs to have previous editing experience, including: Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style, solid grammar usage skills, and good communication and organizational skills. 15-30 hours per week. Compensation: College credit and invaluable publishing experience and contacts.
Responsibilities include:
- CIP Data
- Fact checking
- Copy editing
- Proofreading
- Updating of website content
- Writing catalog copy
