Heavy packers, meet your soul-mate. The length and width of Burton’s traditional-style Wheelie Double Deck (read: it doesn’t convert to a pack) satisfied Women’s Adventure testers who were able to jam-pack the super-deep suitcase.
The fat rectangle opens to reveal two symmetrical storage compartments, each with stretchy neoprene-like border and zippable mesh doors that tease you to cram in that one, last ski coat. Double outer belts ensure the bag—no matter how stuffed—won’t pop and they contrast with some of the feminine (but not overtly girly) print choices we loved.
Though the adjustable pull-handle is one of the best and beefiest we tried, this bag is too big to carry on and buyer beware: if you stuff this 9-pounder to capacity, prepare to pay excess baggage fees.
