Smith is consistently on the leading edge of sunglass style, but the Pavilion Evolve is more than just a pretty face. The frames are made of Rislan® Clear, a plant-based resin made from the highly renewable castor bean plant. The Pavillion Evolve’s eco-friendliness isn’t its only selling point. They also won raves for their lenses, Smith’s distortion-free Carbonic TLT style, which were the testers favorite. One letdown: the Rislan® Clear material doesn’t offer a lot of grip, so the shades started to slip around when testers got really active, but for low-impact (and low-environmental impact) adventures, like bike commuting, the Pavilion Evolve fits the bill.
