This easily-prepared recipe is a serious taste and nutritional upgrade from the canned variety. Enjoy this version with your holiday feast as it provides taste with high quality nutrients including antioxidants and phytonutrients.
2 cups cranberries
1/2 cup walnuts
2 Valencia oranges, peeled, roughly chopped
3 celery, stalks, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
2 tablespoons honey, raw (optional)
Use the S-blade in your food processor. Put all ingredients into processor, except the orange zest. Use the pulse-chop to break everything down, initially. Then blend until you reach a coarse-chopped consistency. Garnish with orange zest. Chill and serve. You may omit the honey for a less sweet version.
