Floral Tri Suit

Danskin’s new print tri suit has a cute floral print on the top, but don’t let the looks fool you. This tri suit is out to win the race.

Your transitions are going to be a snap because this one piece will take you through all three legs of the race. It’s made with a proprietary “Stretchfit Body” compression material that hugs you and really keeps its shape in and out of the water ‘ yippee, no more bagging! We liked the shorts chamois – comfy but minimal enough that it doesn’t feel bulky later during the run and it dries fairly quickly. There’s a little stash pocket on the site for your nutrition needs ‘ perfect for a gel or bar.

In keeping with the overall compression, the built-in mesh bra supports without squeezing the breath out of you, but some larger women will want to add a sports bra underneath (and there’s a matching bra in this collection). There’s a mesh insert across your upper back that helps with range of motion when you’re swimming. The length is good on this suit – there’s enough stretch to comfortably accommodate longer torsos.

We’ve found some tri suits and tops to be a bit, well, revealing. The neckline on this suit has a nice height that prevents any crowd-flashing while you’re down in your areobars but you can always ventilate down to your navel with the neck zip if you need to. Training Skort

This skort is precious. We’ve gotten very fond of running in skirts and skorts ‘ we’re girls, so why not?

The skort coordinates with the rest of the floral prints in Danskin’s new tri collection, with a discrete floral graphic on both sides of the black skort. There’s a no-nonsense compression short hiding under all that cuteness, though, made of the same Xtra Life Lycra featured in the other pieces in this collection. There’s no chamois, so you’ll probably want to stay off the bike and, while you could swim in it (the fabric has a chlorine-resistant treatment), we limited ourselves to running, and turned plenty of heads.
